Whatever this forum told me to do
    said another way....

the bailouts are going to be epic.

this green initiative is going to be life changing. Life changing in a bad way.

this whole green thing is stupid & dangerous.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    damn straight.

it's about taking away our present autonomy.

to get control, one must control:
    cars
    lets us travel freely.
    energy
    fuels the cars.
    healthcare
    our well being
the worst neighborhoods are those built around county hospitals
    Housing
the worst areas are densely populated "urban" areas - that monetarily groom citizens to vote a certain way.
    guns
the main preventative of bad Gov. God bless our founding fathers.

The UAW is supporting the Auto industry
the auto industry is supporting the green initiatives.

even I can see the UAW is a gov pawn.

I take care of my own and really can’t afford to support anyone else!!!! This is complete BS!!!!!:(

This thread, among other recent ones, shows that Tundras.com admins need to either revisit the decree on no-politics and create a separate forum area for it, or more consistently enforce the existing rules. Whatever discussion about the strike on this thread here is long gone and has been for pages and pages of comments, which have disintegrated into not-even-subtle politics.

Surprisingly, none of this has had me ban someone for politics thus far. When someone does cross that line (staff discretion) it will be dealt with just like any others.

It's tough to address the UAW and NOT mention some sort of political data.

the UAW, by it's very nature, is political. Politics is power.

we may not like to see it that way, but it be what it be.

Exactly! I'm seeing posts mostly about the UAW, fat cat CEO's, union leaders, and such. How it affects us is an important discussion. Some particular union folks might be butt hurt. No crying on T.com

Not to mention.....this is a truck forum, as in automobile made by auto workers. Naturally a UAW strike will be discussed here, especially now seeing how big it's growing.

It's fascinating because there's a lot of obviousness about what's being said, but pretending with mad-libs "redacted" things is an odd way to turn a blind eye to it.

I think it's inviting trouble, or at least risks exposing political inclinations, in a space where the code of conduct says "Any political discussion or images will result in a 30-day ban from the site." I don't find that terribly ambiguous, but here we are, in the midst of an obvious political topic and discussion.

The UAW strike hasn't impacted Toyota sales or Tundra sales numbers visibly, and they haven't in the past when auto worker strikes happened 21 times since 1994, there's no correlation data to imply it. Why are we talking about it, again, on a Tundras forum at all, if not to get political? Other users claiming "there's no crying on T.com" are kinda driving the point home that it's all politics all the way down to even have the thread.

Again, if I found it political it would be dealt with. Just like your report (which I saw). It’s staff discretion and unless one of them see something I don’t, it’s standing.
The strike is listed in “off topic” you know- topics for outside of Tundras/Toyotas.

Yep, that's my post. You couldn't be more wrong. Are you a mind reader now? Get serious. No crying here.

FYI, did you even read the positive union threads concerning Kaiser Permanente strike? I'm sure there might have been borderline political posts too.
