Does anyone have a white 3rd Gen that has platidipped their grill surround white? Please post pics if you have. I'm curious to see how well it matches (or doesn't match). I'm looking for an economical way to start de-chroming mine (meaning I'm a cheap ass!)

How easy is the overspray to remove from the painted truck? Does this stuff hold up alright and break off clean when you remove the tape and excess dip from the truck? How are people's front bumpers holding up to rocks and road salt?

C.bigherm, the overspray will rub off with a dry towel, goo be gone, or any all purpose cleaner. As far as the front bumper, I put 7 coats on and it is holding up quite well. Been on about 6 months. I find that toothpicks work well in those tight areas like your badges. Hope this helps

And did the dip on the paint separate easily on its own from the dip on the badges? No blades to cut the dip?

You won't have a problem , tape off a section about 1 inch on all sides , put 6-7 coats let dry real good and it pulls right off no blade cutting etc , it's like magic lol . Also use a toothpick for in the centers of letters . Best stuff ever invented

I wouldn't recommend any type of blade. Once you start pulling it off around badges it will peel off easy. Its the dip that's in between your lettering and your Sr5 if you have that

I did my motorcycle last year. I will be doing some on my new truck when I get it for sure. This stuff is amazing and very addicting.

I have the same grill but all chrome. How do you think it would look if I plasti dip the center black? I wonder if it would match just like your factory look. Everyone chime in with thoughts.

It should look just like mine then. Only difference might be, my grill is actually a dark grey. It's not the same color as the black bumper or the plastidip black.

Hey has anyone dipped their bumpers with any colour other than black? If so, please post a pic.

I'm not a huge fan of the chrome but blacking it out with a black grill seems to be over kill.

    I'm thinking the dark grey

How many cans of plastidip would be needed to do bumper end caps, grill surround and hood buldge? And glossifier? I have a 2015 MGM crewmax.

Grizzly660, I would say 3 cans of plasta dip. As far as glossifier I haven't used it, I like the matte black. I did see though that you don't need a whole lot, to much glossifier will add a haze, so 1 can to start off imop. Hope this helps

I'm going to dip my bumper ends and emblems. Do I need to sand the chrome down? What about the Predip Spray? Is there anything else I need to know? Glossifier for those pieces?

You don't need to sand the chrome. Plastidip will stick to it. The predip spray helps to clean and promote sticking. If you dotn want to spend the money on it you should be ok, just clean it really good and make sure its dry.

Glossifier gives it a little bit of a shine to it. That is up to you if you want a flat black or a flat black with a little shine. I used it on my wheels but its not a huge difference with or without it.

Fender Flares, took a few days of drying due to multiple coats. 3 coats of gloss white paint, then I decided that Plasti-Dip which would hold up better to rock chips so I dipped them about 5 times each, then applied a few coats of the clear. Installed them, then took them off and I have them sitting in the garage. Reason I bought is because I got a ticket for not having them but can't have the mud flaps with these flares and I figured I'd get harassed more for not having mud flaps than not having flares.
