Nice! Hope you scooped it for the 23-24K mark and took it home.

Very nice RCSB 4X4, I looked for the same vehicle for months and got tired of looking. Where in SoCal? How was it advertised and what did it cost you?

    2013 Tundra Double-cab 5.7L engine
I really like my 2013 5.7L Tundra TRD Off Road (left to my wife and I by our oldest son who passed away in 2023), so I have had a local shop taking care of things like replacing the power steering fluid, brake job, replacing the transmission fluid, and plan to have the anti-freeze replaced in a couple of weeks. The odometer shows 93,000 miles already, and this black color truck and topper looks real nice.

My advise to anybody contemplating the purchase of a Second Generation Tundra with the UR-series V8 is to watch a YouTube video by the Car Care Nut titled, "Avoid Buying These Toyota And Lexus Models used in 2025." He explains what things to inspect or to look for-relating to the 5.7L engine-when buying a used Toyota or Lexus, and the reasons why.

Mine has the 3UR-FE, or 3UR-FBE? I have no idea what the difference is between these two is by looking at it. :)
In the manual I see (3UR-FE, 3UR-FBE) engines.

At least this engine has no visible leaks anywhere. I washed thoroughly last year (cam towers, and everything else). Also, it does not burn oil, although I don't drive it very much (under 2,000 miles per year) and replace the oil and filter by the end of winter because of all the idling.

Yes, my oldest son was 38 years old when he passed at a local hospital. We found out too late that more than likely his liver had been damaged by fat (fatty liver disease), which in turn restricted blood flow from his stomach through the liver. This condition caused his esophagus to develop varicose veins (esophageal varices). Fatty liver disease is nearly an epidemic around the world, and is specially a high occurrence with young people in Alaska. If one is not aware about this disease in time, one can die from it. It can be reversed with a change of diet (a healthy one), and exercise.

What I am about to write, while painful for me, I hope that all of us in this forum who have children can pay attention to: read all you can about fat liver disease, and how to control it. This is something every one of us needs to do. Even I was not aware that I had stage 1 of fatty liver disease until my doctor (a DO) had my blood analyzed and my liver scanned. That was about 8 months ago.

I immediately changed my diet, and stopped having a small cup of red wine with dinner. My liver has about reversed to normal, my glucose levels are under control, and my blood pressure is nearly perfect for my age (fluctuates around the 120s/70s). I have lost over 35 pounds, which puts my weight right where it needs to be. I thank the Lord for it!

Should you need to ask questions about what I wrote above, feel free to PM me.
This was my son about 12 years ago:
