Nice setup, my current setup uses an RD900/5, great amps for the money. How do you like the TW3's? My current sub is an 8w7, but I'm going to need to get a shallow sub in the near future as the 8w7 is in a center console extender box. Always like to hear people's opinions on the pros/cons of their setups.

thanks! I think the TW3s perform amazingly well for a slim sub. They are certainly no w7 level of bass but have been very happy with how I’ve got everything dialed in for more of a SQ approach. I have no complaints to speak of and I am pushing them quite hard at times and never feel like I have to back off due to any reduction in performance.

I did look at T A C O T U N E S and realized I could save over 50% and have better sound. Every component I installed was an upgrade over TT and I didn't have to eliminate the rear plastic liner against the rear of the cab in order to put a larger than needed enclosure for a 10" sub. Glad you like your TT system.

I might have to build my own box for a single 10" sealed. Does anyone know where I could get a set of seat spacers similar to ones offered by TT or Fox Acoustic with their boxes.

Now, you can spend several hundred dollars on a high-end subwoofer, but the one I purchased laps the TT one and it can shake the glass in the truck when you boost a 1500 watt sub with the amp I purchased. I used 1X2 furring strips, which I painted black, and adhered velcro strips to the back and to the plastic seat frame in the rear to allow sound to exit the rear seat rather than forcing it straight up through the rear seat. Dat thump, thump, thump is what you add the sub for in the first place.

Could you share the speaker connectors and the mounting brackets for the front and rear?

Thanks Bobby. I am still trying to figure out my front door set. I would like to keep it simple by going with passive 2 way 6.5-6.7" components. I have a BNIB set of CDT HD62 that I plan on using for the read doors. These will be powered by a JL HD900/5.

anyone have more information on the JL Stealthbox for the 22+ crewmax? I am hoping that it sits in the factory sub location.

well, I decided to start collecting some gears....got PAC Audio AP4-TY14, JL HD900/5, CDT wideband system 4B for fronts, CDT HD62 for the rears, going to build a sub box with JL10W6v3 to sit on the foot area in the middle of rear seats. This will be temporary until i could find a better sub solution.

A marine amp? Well, some salesman at Crutchfield will be happy. Top end stuff for sure. When you get it all hooked-up, this is the song that will rattle your cab like no one's business. https://youtu.be/fXXuq4VGgBo

The marine series has the M designation. I just got the HD900/5. I did not get the integrated DSP since I did not want to add complication. I guess if I need DSP, I could add an external one later.

IMO, you should absolutely get a DSP. Integrated makes your life easier but would not skip that purchase

Thanks Goobax. I will try without the DSP to see how it sounds then add the DSP if I could not get it to sound right. I have not used a DSP before and was wondering how easy/hard to tune it correctly.

There are advantages to both, but I wouldn't automatically discount your non-DSP setup. DSP is simply a tool; tools are great for many things but unnecessary for other things. No need for a CNC mill when a pocket knife will open up your packages just fine.

I'm not discounting the power of DSP, either, but good sound comes from clean signal and amps, quality drivers, and thoughtful installs. DSP can improve on that, but not fix it if it's poor quality to begin with.

My daily has zero DSP and is very pleasing to my somewhat discerning ear (maybe just picky instead of discerning...). My sequoia has DSP but I wouldn't say it's leaps and bounds better, possibly not even marginally better. But it was a tool I was able to use for that particular setup.

I have a hybrid and was going to install a 5 channel amp @ 2400 watts. Is that to big? I have the none JBL system now.

Also, does the factory 14" radio have a full range signal from the front speakers?

I think with the hybrid, most installers want to keep it around 1000W.

Does anyone know what is the volume range for the JBL audio system? I need to figure out the 3/4 volume level number so I could adjust might amp correctly.

I think after talking w/them more, this is the max watts. Their idea is to put in a big amp and turn it down so it's more efficient and cuts down on distortion, so that makes sense. I guess we will see what happens. I'm still waiting on my hybrid box from ********* before we get going on the install.
