We made it happen!!!! Gauging Interest, Revesol All Black Steering Wheel

Yes sir! Sorry for the late really. Still loving it, after years of the original wheel it kind of feels like I’m driving a new truck

 

All black and black/red back in stock on the ebay store! The revesol site is not showing them in stock yet.

 

I done order’t one.

 

Finally ordered. No more weekly/daily website checks. Ordered a Meso Volume control fix and black out trim too.

 

Has anyone installed the heated function? I miss heated function dearly from other cars.

 

Were the ones in stock you’re referring to on eBay the old style (non-3D center) or just the new style?

That’s the one I ordered. The 3D version. I didn’t see any others. Hopefully it’s just as good quality.

 

Ordered one off their site with red stripe. And cause I did that I ordered the black radio surround trim, tomorrow ill order a new head unit and then the spray cans to paint the chrome rings and trim pieces red to match my truck color.

This site is a bad influence.

 

I feel like gray/silver stitching and ring would look nice. Something subtle to break up the black. Not as plain but not as bold as the red. Glad I came across this thread as I was contemplating the vivid racing one...

Anyone try any of the heated versions? Any hassles with the clock spring/wiring?

 

Just got mine yesterday. Real happy with it. Definitely bulkier feeling than the old one but in a good way. One of the easiest mods I’ve done.

 

Use a pull tool? Mine came in but I need my truck and didn't wanna unwind my clock spring accidentally.

I'm worried it's too bulky, will reserve judgment until I try it out for a bit.

 

From the pictures it looks like the cartrimhome and Amazon wheels are one in the same. The Amazon one being cheaper. Plus cartrimhome charges +$35 for the all black wheel, whereas the Amazon does not.
I will admit, the revesol wheel looks slightly better in every aspect. If they offered a heated a version I'd definitely go with them. Think I'm going to have to pick up the Amazon heated one sometime before winter...

 

No puller needed. Once I got everything disconnected and the center nut off I just wiggled the wheel and pulled at the same time and it eventually worked its way off.

 

And I just cooked my clock spring.

 

Damn sorry dude. I loosen the nut and then wiggle the steering wheel and it comes right off.

 

Yeah it blows. 485 bucks for the part expedited. Oh well, that's what I get for not renting the pull tool.

 

Ouch! Mine moved a little when i was putting the new wheel on. Luckily it didnt come apart.

Has the revsol or the one from Amazon held up without wear marks? Saw a video where the revsol didnt last more than six month.

 

There are a bunch of threads on the forum related to the Revesol. I started this thread because most reviews and posts I had seen stated the Revesol wore less than the leather Tacoma wheel that is offered from Toyota. We have a few folks who have the Revesol over 3 years and they all say it still looks the same with no issues.

But it can depend on the person and how rough you are with the wheel. I've been in plenty of vehicles that I wouldn't be surprised that the steering wheel wears out in 6 months and I've also been in plenty where a shit wrap could last 4+ years.

I think the Revesol price point makes it worth the gamble. It should last more then 2 years easy and should be good longer.

 

Just installed mine and new clock spring. Not in love with it and I may have to adjust the center line, but it isn't bad and I'm happy so far. Keeping my stock one just incase.

 

Is the redline not centered on the wheel? Im a little hesitant because from some of the photos the line does not look centered.

 

So I installed mine and the line is very much to the right, but now I am wondering if I never noticed due to the old wheel not having a line and my 33s were just not in good alignment, or if I installed the wheel that far off center. I also am worried if I take yhe wheel off and adjust it and my alignment is bad, did I induce a problem. Like how do you know the steering column is dead center?

I'm also worried I torch the clock spring again.

 

Alright, just took it off and moved it a degree. Our steering isn't tight and it's driving my OCD nuts trying to figure it out.

My verdict - The line is silly. The wheel is nice. I'll keep driving it and see if things change once I hit a long flat stretch a few times.

 

Placed my order today.

 

Do they make a carbon fiber with red stitching without the red line. I'm afraid if I order it with the line it won't be centered.

It's not Revesol though and looks like a Chinese seller.

 

Yes but I wish it didn't have the center line. Don't want to take the risk of having it off centered.

 

Just ordered the all black from the actual website. 5% discount, no tax, and free shipping. Mine is stock and basically brand new, so the Revesol is gonna sit pretty for a long while.

 

Want to order one but not sure how many people had the issue of the red ring not being centered
