They really are a different animal. This makes 9 travel trailers for me, and it beats them all. We went from a 36 ft fifth wheel to the Nobo and everything in between, but this one will probably be the last. I wanted one of the MSL convertible series, but I saved almost $20k by finding this one on close out, it was just too good of a deal lol.

I never thought of underlights being so useful for a camping setup. Any details on the wheel well lights?

They're perfect for camp lights imo and they're not shining in your eyes. I have 3 KC Cyclones (each side in middle and one where factory spare was. I also have 4 Baja Designs rock lights, one per wheel well on a bracket I fabbed bolted to the wheel well liner bolts.

My stuff is barebones right now. Mostly solo trips to go snowboarding.

When I do take the family camping we take the pop up trailer.

How tall are you? I’m 5’9” and when I sleep in my 6ft Taco bed I was pretty much touching both ends…

Keeping the Taco but wondering if I can get away with sleeping in the bed of Crewmax Short bed Tundra

I'm about the same height as you. I can tell you that you can sleep diagonally in the bed of the Crewmax with a pad and bag but not if you intend to use a cot of any sort.

I'm 5'9" and have a bunk built into the box of my Double Cab Tundra, straight not diagonal, and I dont touch the tailgate unless I stretch, which is perfect because I have a light switch right there I can turn on and off with my toe. I think the Double Cab tundra box is 6.5'.

I see the Teton logo but which tent/cot setup is that? Very cool.

Both Teton. Teton XXL cot with the Teton tent on top. Actually made to be used together. Takes a good 3 minutes to set up...

Retrax. Uptop AFS bed rack. Condor XL. Dobinson rear springs. BFG 35/12.5/r18. BD light bar and ditch lights. Prinsu roof rack. Diode dynamics fog upgrade.
Added a Taxa Mantis in the new camo green wrap to the stable. Tows really well. A couple leaks so far which is slightly annoying for a new trailer but the overall design and utility make it worth it. Figure any trailer will need work with time... This one is particularly nice as it travels low and can fit in most standard garages. Fits our young family of 5 easily. Will work on creating a better outdoor kitchen and get things modded up over time.
