2wd have totally different drive shafts. Don’t even use the same joints. Why? I don’t know

They're aluminum Condor wheel chocks. I had the steel one's when I had a small trailer and they're great. I went for the aluminum one's for the truck because I wanted to be able to remove them quickly if I needed the bed space. I used 8 Quick Nuts Long (lobbing a softball at the meme crowd) in the bed for easy removal and shimmed up the one's that were lower to keep the chocks level.

A few braps of my 3/8 impact wrench and they're out.

The main reason I bought the Tundra was to be able to haul a bike easier vs using a trailer. An added bonus is the chocks also work great for a mountain bike.

The FZ-1 is a 2001, it's a sleeper. It's basically a slightly detuned R-1 from that era and it's very comfy while still being sporty, 120+ at the rear wheel and has decent grunt down low. Sadly it just mostly sits, I've lost my passion for street riding. I'm gonna go through it and put it up for sale.

The silver bike is my 1999 VFR800. Bought it new in November of 1998 and still got it. She started out red, like nearly every other VFR of that era, but I saw a pic of the silver color scheme they offered in the UK and had to have it. Back then there wasn't much available on the sportier side of sport tourers so I took it to a VFR guru in Quebec that installed an 870cc big bore kit. He was able to source the OEM silver bodywork that wasn't available here.

Not sure if I want to part with the VFR, some days I do, some days I don't. The V-4 has a nice growl, and up to 2001 they had gear driven cams that have a unique gear whine to them. My buddy has a 97 that has almost 200k miles on it, still runs great with no engine work. They last forever.

So for the actual line x ..never been a issue with odor /smell..it has no taste as well and food friendly. For awhile the shop I used was taking Styrofoam ice chest and spraying them .They ended up working pretty nicely and were very strong .I would not try it the diy Stuff from autozone that's in a spray can ,that stuff definitely has a harsh smell.

The truck rolls over for simple undercarriage checks. One of its many tricks

Found a DIY shop for $20/hr where I can get some work done on a lift. Compressor and tools provided.

    http://www.gearheadri.com/

Only trouble is I have to drive 75+ miles to get there. I would think there would be a place in NH but I can’t find one unfortunately.

We used to have a 'rent-a-bay' garage in the next town. Rent a work bay with lift, rent tools. But insurance co. realized the potential for catastrophic physical injury & the place had to close down. Insurance made the whole business plan go to bits.

@FirstGenVol, I've said this before, and I'll say it again. With the exception of my SPC upper ball joints (Obviously not OEM) I don't have a single grease zerk on my 2WD. I mistook the bleeder on the LSPV for a zerk, and asked about it here before putting any grease to it. It still had a cap on the bleeder then, and I didn't have a clue what I was looking at, at the time.

Having seen a 4WD (yours, and used auto lots) the driveshafts are mucho diferento.

Yeah, I gave up on finding one in MA since the whole liability thing shutdown any possibility here. Supposedly there were some in the past in the Boston area.

How does that happen exactly? Isn't there some kind of safety to catch the vehicle in case the hydraulics let go?

The locks won’t work if you don’t use them.

I’m with @Jack McCarthy on this. I thought all lifts automatically lock (the clicking sound) every step on the way up. I know they don’t lock when lowering so maybe that had something to do with it.

Ive never seen a car fall off a lift, but i have seen ^that happen to a 90’s celica. Our autotech teacher was in the reserves, so we had a substitute all year that wasnt worth a damn. Also saw someone unbolt a leafspring that was holding an unsupported axle and nearly dome themselves. But i also learned the stock exhaust of a late 90’s chevy truck will fire a beercan across a shop and through the insullation.

the user decided to "defeat" the locks since he found it annoying to have to hold the lever. so he zip tied it up. needless to say the hydraulic line failed (it does happen. ive had it happen at work) and the whole car came crashing down on his leg. (lucky it wasnt entirely him)

I took those pics a few days after the spay in bed liner was done so it still had a little gloss to it. Now that it's been a year and a couple months, it's dulled a bit out in the sun.

Installed a new radio and back up cam today. I've seen the Atoto A6 mentioned a few times and decided to give it a try. Useless fact of the day, toto is slang for pussy in Spanish, I told my wife I bought a toto for my truck.

I initially installed the cam in the tailgate handle but there was too much of the handle in my view, even with the shims. I should have mounted it a little higher but too late now.

This view will help when hooking up to my trailer and for general parking. I noticed the view got a little glitchy when I got home so I may have to return the camera if it keeps acting up.

There's MakeIT labs in Nashua. It provides more than a lift and it's a monthly membership (kinda pricey) - but they have a lift, TIG welders, prototyping equipment. I would get a membership, but I don't have the time to utilize it.

Funny story, one of the safties failed on my microwave hung above the stove. I took it down, thought I bypassed the safety, and re-hung it. Turns out I bypassed the wrong one so anytime you opened the door it came on. You had to open it, then throw your goods in quick and shut it back before irradiating the entire kitchen.
