The pink trim matches his pink tow loop.

I’ve got the tan interior. But issue with me going quicksand is when I open the hood and see the factory grey it’d drive me nuts. Cement grey won’t look too out of place when I open the hood and see the phantom grey

Did the tundras ever come with a black interior? I’d totally do the swap for that eventually... I have a 2016 tundra steering wheel I keep thinking about puttin in this truck anyway

I’d love someone to be a ‘guinea pig’ on this carpet dye experiment. I’ll sit back and await the results.

My 2005 came with a Charcoal interior...more a dark grey than black. I don't think 1st gens ever came with black...I think it was tan, light gray and dark gray (aka charcoal)....yep, they called them oak, gray and light gray...

    I’d just order black carpet
From the companies that offer aftermarket carpet

Eh. I’ll keep any eye open in junkyards for a complete charcoal interior. I personally can’t stand oak. Lol

I’d love to find a double cab with the roll down rear window... would be interesting to retrofit that into my reg cab

I’ve seen a 2nd gen on here who has done the rear window retrofit. I say go for it! It’s nice to have during summer.

Just did some quick math on this with my own assumptions.

Going from 12-14 MPG saves you $268/year at $2.25/gallon. These things will pay for themselves relatively quickly!
    upload_2019-2-15_15-44-52.jpg

Question for you, did you have to order the electrical adapters? I see that as an option on D.D. website.

Sweet. No on the adaptors. In other words, the 250cc injectors installed are plug and play.

Keith stated that one only needs the adaptors if using the 330cc injectors (due to running on E85).

Put off the side doink repair today as the wind was whipping and not conducive for spray painting later in the day. Been noticing alot of stare downs from 3rd Gen drivers like they wish they had a 1st Gen. hahaha!

Rain forecast all weekend and into all of next week. Might schedule a manicure as the cuticles are getting gnarly.

Drove it in the rain on the freeway, hoping that works as a car wash. Waiting for the new tires now.

Goodyear has a new tire that looks pretty badass.

    Here it is, bottom right

Yes. I have a beautiful 2017 inferno DC. But I've had so much fun taking it off-road, and working toward the limits of 2WD, that I decided I should get a 4x4 with old paint to play with.

I can't give up V8 :muscleflexing: :curls:, so naturally, 1st gen is the solution. I got a great deal on the truck, got set back by a couple of mechanical issues that have been repaired, but haven't taken it off road because it has a spacer lift. I don't want to break my shocks out in the desert somewhere.

A Tundras friend who is local to me and mechanically gifted and creative, spec'd out a few suspension options. Based on watching builds of others on here who love off-roading, and factouring in my "more gas!" personality, I "realized" I'd eventually dump any mid-travel to put on long-travel , so I committed to "saving" time and money over the long term by "investing" in long-travel from the start. Hahaha! Now you know me.

So, basically, everything needed for LT. Instead of listing it here, I'll start a build thread when we start tear down, and post a list of parts on that.
    Yes, finally!
