I might have to copy this. I've been looking for a way to cleanly mount a CB radio.

While I love the fab work as a welder a fabricator myself, they can't steal the cats if they're not there. Food for thought

Truck ran awful for the week I drove it without them. I'll get a short section made for the backside and I'll be done. Drilled the holes and mounted it, definitely not getting these again.

You have to have them coded out, aka you'll need to go see a perforamce shop.

Oil change and driveshaft zerks greased. Also torqued all the suspension bolts just to make sure everything is tight before my upcoming Utah trip at the end of this week.

Got 2 weeks off to explore, just me and my dog and the open road!

Also getting my new bump stops this week so will install those before my trip and get a chance to see how they feel off road.

It's not too difficult to remove the lower dash, that's the only way to remove the cupholders and build a bracket to hold the CB. I tied my bracket into the metal structure that supports the back side of the lower dash.

If I remember correctly, that mount is also made by FireStik. I had to bend it a little bit to get it to fit just right.

Took a pic of the sun with my potato phone. Only held it up for a second on autofocus mode.

No dead pixels on subsequent pics so I should be ready. Worse case, camera is messed up but for a potato phone, I don’t care.

Tried replacing steering rack bushings. Damn those bolts are tight! Exploded a 3/8 ratchet and didn’t have my 1/2” with me to get the 22mm nut off. I need a taller jack too or just a lift because I cannot get the jack to go high enough

    I'm on the yellow team.
But the last time I had a flat, I had one lug that it couldn't break loose. Had to get a breaker bar. Damn discount tire kids overtightened that one guess.

Almost had my Tundra back on the road again, been fixing the neglect from the previous owner. Anyway, I had to replace my brake booster and master cylinder (was leaking into the booster), had my wife in the truck pumping the brakes so I could bleed them, and it blew a hard line against the frame rail under the driver seat. Glad it blew in the garage and not on the road. The line right next to it is also super rusty / bubbly. I'll be replacing both of those, then hopefully get my Tundra drivable again.

Anyone want to take a stab at what might be causing this noise? Almost like a whistle. One of the pulleys going out? I've never heard it before. By the time I got back from the store it stopped.

It's idler pulley related. I also hear A/C compressor pulleys make that noise sometimes too

I replaced the idler pulley with a new OEM one in 2019. All the others are original.
