What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Here is a daytime picture that shows how the smoked third light compared to the OEM tail

 

Be careful that you don’t bend your bed cover rails when tying down objects that are taller than the rail. That is why I ended up installing my L-track on top of the factory rails.

 

What side steps do you have? Aluminum?

 

maybe if you rotated the hooks 180°, to give a different angle… then strapping a load taller the bed wouldn’t be a problem?
Maybe worth a shot?

 

I decided to apply some chemical guys wax and ceramic hyper wax to the truck before fall and winter. Truck turned out great and my furry friend loved being outside enjoying the weather! lol

 

If you haven’t already done so, please take the time to encourage and show your daughter how to change her own oil. So glad my dad did.

Good points. I originally had them rotated 180 degrees, but didn't like the looks of the v-rings hanging down. Probably better to go for functionality over appearance in this case. Easy fix.

I towed my 66 Vw to Sacramento for Bug-O-Rama this weekend. My first tow with the Tundra. Obviously I felt the weight go up steep terrain, but performed excellent!!!
To top it off, the Vw took most original car honors!!!!

oh ok. Maybe that’s just how it is. I’ve been asking for one for over a year too.

 

A friend of mine and I took our families camping at LBL. I hadn’t seen him in a long time, and neither one of us knew the other bought a Tundra until we pulled up next to each other at a stoplight in Nashville. Ha. Anyway, Lots of rain on our trip. Hit some fun mild trails with the kids. Got super dirty. New pinstripes. Great weekend!

 

When I joined years ago, Bob hit me up, he might’ve been more active at the time. But he asked if I wanted one. Took a little while, but he eventually ship them out. I think it was a bunch of people at once.

 

Yeah, I messaged for one shortly after I joined. Still checking the mailbox.

Yes they are Tyger steps. I’m actually not sure if Aluminum or metal. But they are sprayed with bed liner finish. There not real heavy so I assume Aluminum.

Re-installed with the v-rings down to reduce risk of damage to rails for the cover. Left the bed-front rings up since the cover roll is there anyway.

 

looks good. Seems it will certainly create a better angle when strapping something tall down.

 

Red accents look great on silver - most colors actually

 

I put light smoke just on the cargo and reverse parts of the lenses. It didn't require navigation over the fins. Light smoke matches, somewhat, the tint on the factory tinted headlights. I saw a couple of videos on installation of the air-tint from vvivid, but being a rank amateur I'm sure I'd mess it up if it were any more complicated than what I did. Looking closer at the pic of the 3rd light - shadows make the lines look really bad, but they're straight. I'll like to see your results.
