I'm guessing they're getting about $150 or so on the tire/wheel/TPMS swap; $100-$120 alignment and the rest for the level/lift... So, all in all, not a crazy steal but not bad for pricing from a reputable shop doing good work

Does yours have 4WD? Because that would be why from what I'm seeing.
I'll grab a picture when I get back to the truck.

Yeah, its a really dark bronze. I knew they were the ones when I saw them. They are EvoCorse DakarZero 8.5x18 ET 45. Almost no poke which I wanted as well.

No, it's a "Boss" 9" touchscreen unit, ordered the kit from crutchfield. They are known for super hit-or-miss quality, I've seen installers say they have about a 50% dead-on-arrival rate out of the box. This one has no backlight and I'm waiting on a replacement from crutchfield.

If it works out it's got a lot of features for a great price, but I'm thinking spending 3x as much on a better unit is probably smarter in the long run

Yep. I'm 4wd. Oddly this isn't anything that I've ever been aware of as a difference between 2wd and 4wd. TIL I guess.

Definitely a good feature to have when you have the tail gate open. Makes it easier to climb in and out of the truck. But you will need to cut part of the bumper frame underneath to clear the step. You’ll see the cut out in the picture to get an idea. This will save you more time than swapping out for the new one provided. Hope this helps.

O yea, I knew what I was getting into...

I figured for the same money I could get a good radio, or I could get a Boss radio + fender flares, headlights, tail lights, backup cam, and the fox bike pad.

Crutchfield customer support has always been good to me I figured I'd take my chances with the cheap radio.

Toyota: "You know, something just isn't right with that 2WD version. Let's go ahead, make a seperate part and leave out the front facing hoop. It would be crazy to have a front facing hoop on a 2WD. Thank goodness somebody caught that before it went to production"

Finally found a new exhaust guy. Was hoping another shop could fix it, but he closed up shop after his wife passed. Ended up driving to Colorado and guy fixed all of the issues.
Did my first oil change, and finally got to use the motiv x tools. Went with Valvomax for quick drain, so hopefully next time it won’t be a pool of oil everywhere. Rotated the tires and no error messages.

Sadly traded her in for a 3rd gen after saying I wouldn't a dozen times. Parents randomly wanted to get me and my sister an upgrade after deciding to sell off the family land in Austin TX which as you can imagine is at a premium. They'll move north to cooler weather. They also paid off my wife's 21 Venza I owed 24k on which was my only debt and I'm now officially debt free at 38. Not spoiled, I fully paid off my 21 and modded it myself. They've never done anything like this and I feel blessed for it.

I'm posting in the 2.5 thread because I want y'all to know, anyone looking for the absolutely best taken care of 2021 Trail Edition can find it at Cedar Park Toyota soon enough once it's posted. 17K miles, TRD PRO Fox shocks, TRD head lights, Trans cooler, new 33 inch Coopers, cat shields & skid plates, driver's grab handle and LOTS more goodies, it would be annoying to read if I posted them all. And you know the dealer doesn't care about none of it. Never smoked or ate or had soda in it. Zero rust, dents, dings, stains or accidents. Exercised the 4x4 monthly. Oil changes at 5k. I loved her, hugged her as I walked away and apologized for leaving her. I wished she'd go to a good home. I first test drove a 3rd gen limited and was happy to hate the rock hard seats and say no thanks but the 1794 got me.

Pictures of dad's new 2500 for their future see America adventures, sister's new Ford and my 3rd gen to keep things from being boring. Dunno how much I'll mod the 3rd, got 21mpg average on my way back to Oklahoma which is a far cry from the 13ish I was getting and I kind of don't want to mess that up. And YES I got the dang extended warranty because I don't trust this like I did my 2.5. Their price on that was close to Jerry's after I said no 5 times.

It's bitter sweet. Do we have a teary eye'd emoji? :pout: This one seems close. Now someone from here go and buy my truck please. I traded it for 41k, info to help your buying power.
