I spent the first few hours of the day removing dog hair from the black carpet I removed from my Tundra. Lot of work with the white hair dogs... I got some pictures I think

one of the pics had the sun right above us and it looks whitish but the first pic shows it. It was pretty disgusting with all the white hair.

Took mine out camping this past weekend for the first time, so today will be wash day. Bought it with the intent of getting a bigger trailer after the New Year. Pulled the little teardrop like it wasn't even there:

I’ve been wanting to do that exact thing. It’s nice to see there is paint behind the stickers…..

I just shot mine with Fluid Film for the same reasons.

If you live in the salt belt, you must do this! It makes a huge difference.

Fluid Film contains Phosphoric acid that converts existing rust to Iron Phos effectively stopping it from growing. This is temporary but with annual application it will slow it down to a non-issue.

I'm glad this topic strayed back onto corrosion protection. I am looking to use B'laster Surface Shield. I've read some reviews that the nozzle on their aerosol cans leave a lot to be desired. I'm thinking its better just to get a bulk 1-gal. pail of B'laster 128-SS and spray it on myself. The only recommendation B'laster makes regarding undercoat sprayers is that you should get one that will spray a lanolin-based undercoating with a viscosity of 1500cps. Um, riiiiiiigggghhhhttt. Any one have any experience they can share regarding undercoat sprayers that will spray a lanolin-based undercoating with a viscosity of 1500cps??? Anyone?? Anyone?? Bueller?? Bueller?? :D

I read up a little on this because I wanted to buy Fluid Film in the gallon size. It is really thick stuff!
I bought a gun from WoolWax. It was pricey but the reviews of the less expensive guns were very mixed. Many of them said that you had to thin the product to spray well.
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0070WTGZG?ie=UTF8
My experience with the gun has been great. It is much cleaner than the aerosol cans because it does not create as much mist in the air. Not to mention cheaper.

My compressor is capable of 6.5CFM at 100psi. It has no trouble keeping up with this. I spray at 65psi.

All of the supplies finally arrived for the big head unit upgrade! Using a combo of crutchfield, wm, Amzn and bb I think I did pretty well price-wise. For my '17 non-jbl, I got:
    • Maestro ADS-RR (module for steering wheel controls)
    • HRN-HRR-TO2 (main wire harness)
    • ACC-HU-ALP1 (Alpine-specific harness adapter)
    • Dasaita Dash Kit (only one with metal brackets)
    • Metra 40-LX11 (fm/am antenna adapter)
    • Metra AZ-TOYUSB (adapter to use factory usb port)
    • Metra AX-TRIG1 (e-brake bypass for settings/video)
    • Batige HDMI/USB port (will replace cig lighter, attach to hdmi on hu)
    • Natika front camera (mostly for parking)
    • Alpine KCX-CAM1 (adapter to use non-alpine front camera)
    • SUMI-GT21 (adapter to retain factory gps antenna)
I think I'm also going to get a dash cam, still deciding which one. I like the idea of the Alpine dash cam being fully integrated but it may be too $$ for me.

I made the part allocation more complicated than it needed to be, but I tend to overthink things, searching for best prices, going back and forth on what I need vs want etc. Finally feel confident enough to start with flashing the Maestro and getting it all wired and ready. Super excited!:bananadance:
