Good guess Jim. Really close. It's actually showing up in the recent products discussed below. It was brought up just a few days ago. It's an aftermarket eBay skid plate. Figured I'd give it a shot. Truck came with no skid at all.

There is actually a Talons cat shield for sale real close by that I'm considering getting. He's selling for $250 though. Gonna see if I can talk him down to $200. I think Talon is selling them for $240 plus shipping.

    Doesn't look too bad

Looks just like the box I got yesterday

I took skid plate out to look it over and that thing is stout. Impressed so far!

Nah it will serve its purpose well. Nice to have a large oil filter access hole now too.

Added some bed rails. Didn’t have any when I got the truck. Found I was needing more spots for straps for my waterfowl hunting gear. Kinda of a pain that all the holes were Bed lined over but not horrible

I swapped out the Hood Struts on my 2016 SR5 Tundra yesterday.
I had noticed over the past few weeks or so my hood every time I raised it would come back down.
When I ordered them. I got a reply saying the parts were on Backorder.
I got the email yesterday morning the parts were in, so I went and picked them up.

Did a quick fix for the windshield washers. My passenger side was dribbling like an old man. Apparently you just replace the “T” from the main washer line, and both will work again. There was enough line to just cut the old one off and replace it. Worked out great. 3/16” T

Please direct me to a source for a proper seal between my Leer canopy and a Tundra rear window with the full window slide.

I found seals for regular sliding rear windows, but nothing for pickups in which the entire back cab window slides down.

Got these for Xmas and installed today https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CRZXPI/?th=1

I measured loudness with a decibel app on my Android, both the stock horns and these. Grill off, 10 ft in front of the truck, factory horns were 102.7 db, and these new horns were 104.5 db. So, a little louder, but much more shrill sounding; almost too shrill for my likes. However, they are red, and I've got the red and black highlights thing going, so I'm happy. I rarely beep, but when I do, I'm thinking this shrill, jarring sound will get attention.

Install was easy. Factory connectors (positive) plug right in to either of the two connectors on the new horns. I crimped up two 4" pigtails, 18 AWG, for grounds and connected those to the other horn connectors and then the factory horn mounting bolts.

I just installed mine last week. I love it! Install is real fun. Just take your time n be gentle with disassembly. The climate control is a lil tricky so be sure to watch his video on that specifically.
