Future ask, if you have a camper slot on either side and you have to cxl, let me know. We took the only spot available and my rig wouldnt fit so I ended up paying for another one in palmetto and then using the "tent" spot for a van with AC while we did our shower. LOL, long story short, those sites are a PITA to get last minute. I am currently looking for one 7/27...

Hopefully I have a mafia flag for the rig at that time.

Yes Ft Desoto fills fast. I'm always looking at the calendar. I'm usually around spot 154.

Feel sorry for you folks without public land and the ability to go park it in the middle of nowhere with not a person in sight.

Luckily I live on land so I get that daily. Fort Desoto is a different animal all together. You get some isolation while staying in a highly congested area.

But to your point, its why I go West every year.

I did the short version of Kalalau Trail to the beach and explored the caves off to the side. Hoping to make it out to the canyon tomorrow before we catch our flight back home. We did a helicopter tour, sunset cruise off Napoli, and UTV waterfall adventure literally starting in a few minutes. Will definitely have to come back, I can see why you are hooked!

Great so far! Truck feels more stable hitting bumps in the road at highway speeds. I took it up to 30mph or so off road and the difference was night and day.

There's an awesome waterfall and pool up from that first beach/caves. About an hour or so in and not well marked.

Gave her about a 2.5 inch lift.....

Easy install, took about 1 1/2 hours for both sides. Waiting on the 5160 rears which should be in end of the week

I use it and like it. It's gotten much better over the last couple of years, too, with CarPlay support and much easier route planning features.

    Too many mods to come
Snagged a larger pelican case for the recovery gear, fluids and full-size jack.

Awesome. I can get 20% off their elite package. We moved to a new area and wife is the one that brought it up since we want to start exploring this area all the way into Idaho.

I usually wait for one of those coupons to come through before I renew haha! I think I have a few gigabytes of offline map areas saved off by now. It's handy when you're out in BFE with no cell signal.

Did the crutch mod today and took it for a drive
    IMG_8608.jpg
112 days since the last time I drove it.

Truck let me know how unhappy it was. Turns out I had my keys in my pocket and was leaning against the panic button when reconnecting the battery last night :censored:

going to miss the little plant growing underneath it

Is it user friendly? Does it work well on a cell phone, or should I invest in an iPad?

I use it for offroading and hunting, absolutely killer for both. Really nice to be able to research trails on your computer and set waypoints, then have them saved on your phone automatically when you go out. The offline map feature is a life saver as well.

Super user friendly. With how big phones are now a days, I don't find it necessary to have an iPad for maps. Just one more thing to charge before you go out
