Keeps things from sliding around when i put bucket or stuff there.

 

I have a wood divider there like you have more rear. Wasn't sure if it was a brace or something for off-roading. Thanks!

 

Love this. I undercoat my vehicles annually now. Also now undercoat multiple others for friends and family. Lol

 

Also added the go rhino RB20 running board.
Took the oem predator boards off because we have a toddler. It is so much easier for him to get in and out.

LP9 and harness bar testing early this morning. Can confirm all working as intended.

 

Did the chalk bag cup holder mod(so my wife can bring her owala 32oz water bottle and not complain there is no place to put it.). pulled the skid plate so I can mod it with the oil filter trap door, put on my fumoto valve. Truck came from Chicago so I had some surface rust on the frame and suspension, sprayed rust remover all over underneath, let it sit for a few hours and rinsed it thoroughly. When I reinstall my skid plate I'll give it another once over

 

Oil change and tire rotation for the ole girl today, and added a fomoto valve while I was at it. Not that it means anything, but the Motivx oil change kit gets my stamp of approval. I snapped off a cheap extension in the end of the filter wrench but then just slapped on a 24mm socket and buzzed it off with an impact. Looking back I probably should have just started with the socket, but hey, you live and you learn. Hopefully I’ll get to both diffs and transfer case tomorrow, then transmission drain and fill next weekend. Gonna feel like a whole new truck here pretty soon!

Hit a milestone this morning!

 

Got the RCI skid installed with a little help from my nephew. Excited to have some actual protection and quick oil filter access.

 

Took the truck to the beach at Port A. I towed our 264bh camper down there, averaged 6.5mpg.

 

Didn’t get any pics, but changed the rear diff fluid today. It was pretty chocolate milkshakey so I’m glad I got it swapped out. Not sure what witchcraft the last guy did, (probably just tilted the axle) but almost 1/2 a quart came out of the fill plug when I spun it off. Oh well, a little saw dust on the garage floor to soak up the oil and we’re good to go

 

Recommend new breather valve and if you tow a boat or ford streams relocate the vent into your left taillight housing. Milkshake = water in the oil.

 

After that, go after the oil stain on the concrete with starting fluid or brake clean by spraying the shit out of it. Scrub with a plastic bristle brush and soak up the residue with an old shop rag. You will have to look hard to find the stain after this trick...

Or it will clean the area better then the rest of the stained floor and you will have a faded area to remind you of the job.

 

566 mile road trip. 13.4mpg on the way there and 15.8mpg on the way back. Both at 75mph with cruise.

Finally knocked out a fluid change on the front differential. It took two trips to HF and a few attempts, but I found an easy out that fit the mangled fill plug the prior owner left for me.

Yeah I actually already have my diff breather relocated, I think the water has been In there from one of the first outings with the truck before I had the relocation done. We should be good now!

Heck yeah, I’ll give that a shot! And I’ll get to sniff brake cleaner, my personal favorite flavor of cleaner

 

I agree, HF's Icon sets are really nice. I got their tap n die set for dirt cheap and that extractor set is on my list.

 

Got out to the desert to test out my King 3.0s. Still gotta dial them in but I'm impressed
