I debadged my ‘18 over the weekend. I did not use heat as I was scared to damage the paint; fishing line, then 3M wheel, then some rubbing compound for anything remaining. All except one came off easily. No difference in color from fading. Here’s an example of the process on the passenger side Tundra badge:

Not sure if age, the strength of the adhesive, or moisture accumulation behind the badge came into play, but when I started sawing the passenger iForce badge, water started dripping down the side of the truck, and when the badge came off, there was a bubble and chip in the paint.:angrygirl:Luckily no rust, just primer. I cut the bubble out and sanded around the edges, and will need to paint these spots this weekend.

Overall I’m happy with it, and I was really surprised how much I liked the tailgate without the aftermarket Tundra letters. Took about 4 hours, probably because I didn’t use heat, and I was slower than a snail.:rofl:I’ll post more pics once I wash this pig. :(

Cant believe how shitty the shark fin antenna is. Trying to listen to some classic rock terrestrial radio stations is impossible. What I can pull in with my 08 Tundra is impossible with the 21.

Guess I better learn me how to stream using Android Auto.

I drove a new one before I picked up the 2016 I bought about a month ago. I would keep what you have - I have no regrets about the decision to go with a 2016 over a new one.
