Ain't that the truth. U think this is bad, poor me, take this and times it by 5 for me. I'm on this, tundrageeks, tundratalk, and shit... I don't even have a facebook page but to be part of tundracrew guess what, my fn tundra does. Linked to the tundracrew on fb I'm also a member of the DAP tuning fb page. I went from never being on the computer or social media to all these sites glued to my hand. It's like a full time job keeping up. Soon as I get off this site, boom checking messages on the next, so on and so on. Soon as I get through them all, there's messages back on this 1. Lol. It never ends, nor do the mods.

Take black Friday for example, this site had a ton of great info on deals and I'll blame the headlights and fogs purchase on this site, sharing blame with another. The DAP tune, thanks to tundracrew fb page, which is also associated to the DAP tuning page. Oh man it never ends. I catch shit all the time from the ol lady for being on.

I know I've already said it, just like everyone else has said. But this time I mean it. I think I am getting very close to the end, meaning getting my truck just how I want it. Nothing left to do but enjoy it for hopefully the next 20 years or so. Ahh who am I kidding, it never fn ends. More realistic, I'm going to go slow and small from here on out. Wink wink as I've been eyeing them Baja LP9's. Lol

Apologize for the length in advance.

After hearing multiple and many bad things on the bully dog ie tough shifts, trans issues, amongst others, out of fairness heard good things about the cool features ie turn off chimes ect.. I've decided to go with the safer and better real life driving claims DAP tune imo. That will be here in the next few days and I'll update on that once I reflash the ecu and put some miles on it allowing it to learn. More to come there.

The headlight gtr kit I've heard nothing but great reviews on as well along with the DAP tune is on its way too.

I've decided to replace my fogs with amber BD squadrons. I'm leaning toward adding the amber cover to the middle of my S8 and leaving the ends clear for my highbeams. That way I'll have long distance clear and amber covered for snow conditions. I'm then thinking between the high lux from the gtr kit in low beam combined with the amber fogs I'll have a nice mix of short distance clear and amber to compliment the same in s8 long distance.

Any thoughts on my lighting plan? I'm thinking the amber sports in driving angled down or wide corner using them all the time. That or do I go with all the same but the pros and probably not be able to use all the time. Pulling the trigger tomorrow so if anyone has a thought on my plan or any advice to offer I'm open. The tune, gtr kit, and bd amber fogs are set in stone. Just looking for any advice on sports or pros and maybe beam pattern.

+1, Pro is basically a levelling kit. I looked at Pros for months before I bought a SR5. When I had my exhaust made I had the installer just run both pipes out the passenger side.

I did the Baja sport wide cornering with the amber lens. The sports are bright, almost overpowering the headlights. I have them angled down as much as possible with the new bezel kit Baja has. If you get the pros, you will not be able to use them on the street without being flashed all the time. I have the squadron pros sitting in my sdhq cart, deciding if I want to replace my cheap ditch lights with Pros.... well I want to replace the lights, but my wallet says no. I have the 2018 headlights in another cart, wishful dreaming right now.
I ordered the DAP tuner also, scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
I want to replace my front bumper with a Magnum RT or the upcoming Pelfreybilt bumper. I have to prioritize my wants and stick to the list.

Tnx for info, after much back n forth I went went sports in amber wide corner that way I can throw them on and not worry. That plus see as much as I can off to sides of truck into the woods.

The new bulbs, supposedly great with lifetime warranty, the fogs, and dap tune are all on the way scheduled to be here all this week. Looks like I got an exciting weekend planned between lighting and the tune.

I can't wait to be able to see with my low beams and fogs when I turn off the s8. I can't wait to unleash the beast and get all the power the engine can offer deleting TM, fixed shifts, ect...

I feel like a kid on Xmas. I figured with PayPal 0% interest if paid in full within 6 months at $200/month being able to see at night and the benefits of the tune, even if I only got half of what people rave about on the tune is well worth the $200 for 6 and done. Suffer for 6 months, Enjoy for lifetime.

Something that might help ur wallet. I have the pro lights so like the look. But was considering 18 too. Supposedly the gtr led bulbs from headlight revolution have a great beam pattern and a whopping 1700 lux at 25 ft. That's insane. The 18 leds look cooler but light output the gtr kit shines. That plus the kit was only 183 compared to close to grand with harness and 18s. I went with function and price over looks. The gtr kit also has lifetime warranty. Bulb goes out they replace with same or newer technology. Might be something to consider. Btw I love my SSO bumper but that's not going to make it any easier on your wallet lol. Good luck.

You just had me looking at the PayPal credit line, but the wife would see a new payment from the joint account. I currently control the credit card account so she does not see the detailed spending report, just the total. I also stay within my means, always paying the card off every month building up points. I cashed in my $500+ in point to cover my stereo upgrade that happened sooner than planned due to 2 deals I could not pass up.
If I do the Pelfreybilt bumper I will want a 30" S8 bar to replace my cheap one i have. If i do the Magnum, i will need a 20" light bar.

Lol yeah always stay within ur means is key. I only have a mortgage so it allows me to do some upgrades here n there. But it was lot of sacrificing til then. I'm also the money guy in the fam so what wifey don't know I don't have to hear about lol. Love my s8 30 and use it nightly often.

That sux, guess I got lucky pulling the trigger on Black Friday. The deal was until today or tomorrow for 183. They usually mid 2's. I liked look of 18s and output of retro hid. I think I made great choice getting the output near a hid and for that price and warranty when compared to all other bulbs out there, the gtr shines, see what i did three. Lol. I did lot of research and the low beam output on these things is sick. That's all I need to compliment the s8 30 as highbeam. I'll now have very bright long and short distance both clear and amber. I'm pretty sure based on reviews I'll be very happy. Good luck on yours.
