Hmm, okay thanks. Worst case I could always resell the seats or wire them in myself, but I’d prefer not to hassle with it

I bought my 2010 RW in 2021 and realized it had a broken leaf spring. It’s been a noisy year and a half but I finally replaced both leaf springs and added CB +1 shackles with Fox 2.0 shocks. The only thing left in the rear is sway bar and air bags.

going to do the front next weekend with 6112s and new tie rods. Contemplating on which route to go with LCA and UCA.

Which leaf springs did you go with?

Nothing major but my wife got me a nice bed mat for my birthday. Has the nice Toyota logo on it and looks good in the bed. I also have an appointment next week for an oil change and power steering fluid swap out. I wish I could do this stuff myself but I've got 2 bad rotator cuffs and can barely lift my arms up anymore. Sucks being old

Left early to avoid what the weather forecast as -20 to -50 degree wind chill. Really appreciated the remote starter and heated seats I installed.

    Here's a 2nd gen plow I saw.

Now my teenagers rig. Added some Moto Metal rims and an aftermarket radio. Next on the list will be a backup camera and a bull bar from Rough Country.

Got my truck back from the local Toyota dealer after having the entire engine wiring harness replaced due to a malicious squirrel attack. $7900 dollars later and it is back like new.... Thank God for insurance.

Newb getting caught up from 2021-07 when I bought the 2010 w/105k.

Cleaned inside and out. Lots of scrubbing. Cleaned engine bay. Huge visual improvement!
Oil change, air and cabin filter.
Level up and added overload leafs to the rear.
    Window tint.
    Detailed exterior.
<A/C compressor seized, pulled it, flushed, clean, replace, evac, filled it up.>
LED interior and door puddle lights.
    Flushed PWR STR pump.
Front, rear diff, and x-fer case to synthetic No cray cray found! =,)

    2023 projects!
WIP 1 - Morimoto LED fogs to Grade edition truck.

WIP 2 - Modify turn indicator module to meld with Diode Dynamics programble blinker module. I need to do live testing to finalize PCBA layout so truck is LED compatible and more importantly, 1 tap equals 4 blinks and we have wig wag.

WIP 3 - HU upgrade, need hands free...

2022 wheeled it a bit dragging tree parts over 5 acres! Thank g o d I had this truck to move them trees parts! It came at the right time with aging parents!

Okay... I'll stay present now! :p

Dude... this legitimately makes me want to call my insurance company and see if they'd entertain the idea of covering my motor replacement. (My timing jumped 5 teeth and destroyed my motor cause mud daubers built up nests in my timing belt cover while I was stationed in South Korea).

If you have a comprehensive policy it will probably be covered. I paid a $50 deductible and that was it.

No matter what, I will make sure that my truck is started at least every other day from now on. An idle vehicle is just a big home for critters.

I do, but I started the process of the engine replacement back on November 7th as it was determined a loss and haven't told my insurance anything. I've been with them (USAA) for the last 14 years though and have never submitted a claim aside from periodic roadside tows. I'm definitely going to check into it on Monday and see what they say!

Fixed the map light in the overhead console.

For others experiencing this problem, two things can happen:

    1. The pins that hold the bulb in place become loose over the years. Remove the overhead console and bend them back into place. Insert the bulb with the console removed and you'll see how they're supposed to fit.

This shows the pins fitting the back of the bulb correctly. Before this they were all bent at weird angles and not connecting solid.

    669EC01C-1A97-450A-8644-8E0607D53111.jpg

    2. The part that pushes back when you click the light manually on can fall off the pins. Push it back on and so it fits above the back of the lens.

Here is the white part that falls off, removed, showing the pins exposed:

    Nice work! ^^

Hope you don't mind a minor piggy back...

For anyone doing the LED door lights, I took some silicone tubing, sliced a short section, then cut a slice in it length wise. When inserted in the door socket/lens, it secures and insulates it. My thought was a good door slam or two might have it moving and possibly damaging the SMD components or shorting the thing out. I don't need an electrical gremlin or blown fuses from my fleabay LED's...

I cleaned the tubing after proof of concept...

Installed USB ports and a voltmeter in the upper glove box so I can charge stuff and keep it hidden. I'll add a flashlight in there soon.

It only takes about 5 minutes to remove the passenger kick panel and both glove boxes with a Phillips and 10mm. There's about 2.5 fingers of clearance at the back of the glove box. Definitely remove the glove box to drill so you don't drill through something important behind it though.

Here's a pic of drilling the holes:

I hate blanks so I have put some lighted buttons under the headunit. Not currently wired to anything but I still prefer it to blanks. On the right side of the next picture is a dual USB port, one for charging and one connected to the headunit as an aux (though I use wireless carplay).

I have this in the tiny cupholder for stereo controls including volume. I like the placement better than steering wheel controls because my right arm is always on the center console and if falls right under my hand.

Steering Wheel Controller Wireless Button Remote Control for Android Car Radio https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BRMS449R

The head unit has a physical dial for fan speed and A/C. The only thing I adjust with the touch screen is the temperature, but I do wish that had a physical dial. I think if you have the automatic temperature controls with the thermostat you probably don't mind it.

That is a slick remote setup. I wish I had found that before I went through the trouble of swapping my steering wheel to get easier controls. I looked high and low for a solution like that.

My grade addition has this strip of filler to the right of wheel that PO glued a phone pad to. It's a vertical strip, divided into what looks like 4 sections, but I've seen a strip that goes in there to avoid control swap to the SW if your cab doesn't have it like ours.

I too, want the wheel controls but buying a random airbag from fleabay for $300 doesn't settle well.

I am weak though, if I find the steering wheel controls for cheap (or the PN's), I'd likely do that and a double din. I don't want a giant display personally. It's generally used for getting stuff done. So.....

If you do decide to go the fleabay route check out what I did here and go all the way for the 2.5gen wheel. Updates the whole look of the interior, and honestly not that difficult.

It's a good project. Probably one of my favorites so far. Can easily be completed on a Saturday, the hardest part is gathering all the pieces. The actual swap is fairly painless. Give me a shout if you need any advice.

Being as I didn't catch the "unhook negative battery terminal" in the instructions when I installed this the first time, I re-installed my TRD CAI yesterday. The computer re-learn certainly "feels" like it made a difference; then again, I might've been hallucinating!:DResized_20230214_055455.jpg

It was sunny and somewhat warm today so I pulled out the hose and some chemicals and gave the 07 a good wash. Really didn't have time to go all in but managed to get a little Adams Detail spray on it. Looks decent and got rid of a heck of a lot of road salt. Hate that it's filthy most of the time (exterior).
