There is probably about 1/3” space in between (I will take a pic later) so yes some debris may get caught but won’t be a whole lot and not big pieces.

I’m like a 7 out of 10 with loving my predators…they work now because of need/only thing available…and I didn’t want to spend the nearly $1K for the TRD ones knowing they weren’t as wide as what I would prefer.

In a few months when other options are available I will look again…I would like something like the factory TRD that wider and tucked up against the body…kind of like how the Ford Raptors used to be (not sure if the new ones kept the same design)

Is your Tonnopro cover specifically a 2022 fitment or is it a carryover from previous tundra models that you were able to fit on there?

It's a carry over that I took from my 2019 Tundra

I really like the place in the center console to place cellphones. And it is really easy to add wireless charging if you didn't get that OEM. (Not to mention the two reports that the OEM Qi charging is rather anemic.) So my $12 upgrade with a thin MagSafe charger. For now it is just on with a 3M VHB sticker made for dashboards and the cord just runs to the USB-C in the center console. Later on, I'll see about running it more concealed.

I was interested in doing a vinyl wrap to get rid of the chrome mustache so I got a quote from a shop - $500 . I found the sheet of wrap I want for $50 so looks like I’m picking up a new hobby ‍♂️

Jeez. $500 to wrap the mustache. It's not too bad to do it yourself. My girlfriend wrapped her Mini cooper by herself just watching YouTube videos. So I believe anyone can do it too in couple hours. Saved herself $2200. $800 for 3M vinyl wrap.

Where did you get the bed mat, if you dont mind me asking? Will the last gen mats work with the 22'?

Bought the mat at Hickory Toyota NC, Sparks Toyota had a lower price, but after paying shipping from Sparks compared to picking up local price was probably the same. Don't know if older mats will work, but the guys over on the 22 accessory thread would know. I used part # PT318-34221-SB for a 2022 Crewmax 5.5' bed.

Good question, this is the first flip up type bed cover I have owned, previous two covers were Diamondback, really nice, too. Learning about the flip up type of cover today.

Here's the "folded up" position, you can see the straps securing the top section for travel:

    IMG_6604.jpg

This is the "flipped up" position, there were 3 large foam blocks included with the kit so the cover hard parts will not contact the cab, but I only used two outer blocks because the center block would contact the bed light:

Edit:The center foam block would contact the window, not bed light:

    IMG_6608.jpg

There are two forward water drains on this cover. I ran both of them to two of the four pickup bed drains, leaving two open bed drains. This is where the drains came out of the bottom of the bed:

When flipped up resting on cab, will it cover the camera?

Diamondback is releasing the covers for the 22' tundra beginning of February if anyone is interested. Shot them an email earlier today.

This is fantastic. I may need to reconsider the OEM cover. I’d be willing to drive over to Hickory to get it too. Only an hour.

I ordered on line to get a better price, their price was not as good as Sparks, but after shipping from Sparks, figured the price would be close.
One other thing, I try to go to Hickory from Thursday to Saturday because JD's Smokehouse on I40 is open on those days and they have great Brisket!

    Ordered a few parts for a truck I don’t even have yet…

Set of 5 wheels (rotatable spare)
    Westcott lift
    TPMS
    TRD skid plate
    TRD running boards
ATV ramp since my last truck had them built in

still need to grab some tires but I don’t even know when I’ll have a truck!

I swapped my stock tires for 275/60R20 Pirelli Scorpion AT+. I chose that size because I didn't want to change from the stock size too much, but I wanted an AT tire. I chose the Pirellis because of reviews on Tire Rack, and I didn't necessarily need crazy off-road capability for the few times a year I drive into a field for an event.

    Too many, but not enough....
So given all the issues we have seen on these 3rd gens, would actually driving it be a good first thing to be able to do on these? :crapstorm:
