Beauty, thanks! If the dealer won't disable all the seatbelt chimes, I'll go the Carista route.

Used it a few days ago. Was able to change some things that were annoying. You'll need to pay the 9.99 to upgrade and then cancel the subscription when you're finished. I gave mine to a buddy with a new TRD Pro when I was done with it.

What things did you change other than the seatbelt chimes?

Also changed the amount of times the turn signal blinks by just flicking the lever down. Stock is 3 times, I went to 5 since I'm pulling a camper across the country. It's kind of minimal what you can actually change with it. Just depends on how annoying things are and if you want to spend 40 bucks on the device then another 10 for the subscription. That's what unlocks the other little features. There's a post a few threads back that talks about it in a little more detail. That's how I heard about it.

Added these center caps last week and have had “Toyota people” at work and around town tell me how good the new TRD wheels look… I agree, they look great! Ha

Added some color to my pro grille. Thoughts on the red TRD decals? Had these on my limited grille before changing it. Brought some of the color from the rear trd offroad decals to the front.

I purchased a Carista and changed some things on my Limited. Dealer wanted up to a $160 to turn on the "roll down the windows" with the FOB. Ridiculous... Carista let me change that. Turned off the "enhanced engine noise." I didn't mind it but I felt it didn't match up well with the actual RPM's of the truck sometimes. Changed my turn signal to 6 vs the 3 when tapping it. After shipping the Carista was about $41 and I will cancel the subscription before it renews. Much better than $160 from the dealer.

Where did you get Carista? I went to website and it only shows for Gen 2 or is it the same?

It works on the Gen 3's as well as others have confirmed also. Might not have any "live" features currently but you can definitely customize some of the things. Also, ordered from their website which takes you to ECS tuning.

Like others have said just order it for a Toyota Tundra it will work (don’t worry about the year). I ordered mine directly from the website and works perfectly. Like most turned off pesky chimes for the seatbelts for each seat, window roll down, turn signal number & forgot what else. Neat little thing for $40! Don’t know why it will allow the windows to roll down with fob, but no option for rolling them up with the fob (can do both with key into keyhole). Should be able to do both to me using Just the fob…,.:notsure:

Trust me there are many other options available than anyone of us talked about on here. Best $40 I’ve spent on any mods on mine. You will see and enjoy!

It's because the option for it does not exist, not even in Toyota's own Techstream.
Why? Ask the wizards of software engineering at Toyota, who seem to fall asleep and forget about features/options mid-day, apparently.

Purchased this fully loaded SR5 Premium Advanced TRD off road (what a long ass name) in the middle of the hurricane today. Got it at msrp and got a fat trade in on my 2020 tacoma. Unfortunately on it’s way to the dealer a branch hit the passenger mirror and damaged it so won’t be picking up for a few days while the dealer gets the replacement assembly in and fixes it.
Edit: I posted the wrong picture, that’s the limited that sold right before I got there but I have the exact same color/options

No worries of metal on metal contact with that? I would like to see rubberized edges on the parts near the vehicle.

Are you talking about where the feet meet the roof?

There’s not a lot of difference as compared to the Tacomas which have pre-tapped nut-serts placed at the factory underneath tape seal.

The Tundra doesn’t have those so install is similar to the alpha/bravo racks. But it’s sealed/isolated with silicone and foam rubber between the feet and drip rail.

Every ‘22 should have this right off the lot…I do prefer the manual over power simply because of my job…I’m at tailgate a lot without needing to get up into bed, but either way it’s a much needed addition and should come standard IMO!…easy install too

Absolutely disagree to the core of my soul. Some of us still go off road. I’ve seen quite a few bed steps ripped off on the two tracks heading up to the trail heads I hunt from. I’ve seen lots of trucks with dented running boards and even one that needed the driver door replaced after the factory running board got yanked off and thrust into the door. Running boards and bed steps should ALWAYS be optional on off road vehicles. I can give a pass to the GM steps built into the bed side and rear bumper, but no other designs are acceptable as standard equipment.

They should be called Satan’s Steps.

Man I hate them. Sorry for the rant.

Ok, ya got me there…I would agree with that…so for 99% of us they should be standard…lol…and I do some light off-roading myself so hopefully I won’t have any issues…but it sure as heck makes getting in the bed easier!
