JB4 on the TRD Pro...all I can say is wow...only runnin map 2 so far, and when that boost kicks in, you feel it for sure...can't wait to eventually experiment with higher maps, but this thing is awesome

Had the panoramic window tinted with ceramic tint to keep the heat out - now every window has ceramic tint on it.

 

Mind if I ask what that ran for cost? One place by me quoted $125 per panel....

Installed a new set of mud guards. Went with an off brand from Amazon and really like them. I’ve had OEM and Weathertech on other trucks and I found these easier to install, they keep the mud and snow off my truck and retractable running boards and I like the way they look too.

J&L catch can. I've had this since back in October. Opened the box, went to install it and realized I was sent 2 of the same hoses. Contacted J&L and they sent one out the same day. Awesome customer service and nice lil kit. I'm a fan of CCs and have usually ran Mighty Mouse cans but this kit is exactly what I needed.

Afe dry filter and Carven cut and clamp muffler. The two plus taking out sound deadening material in factory air boxes made the turbos come alive

 

As long as it works and didnt cost all that much there is NOTHING wrong with it!

Got me thinking though. What are those indentations on the wheel wells for?

Have you tried rinseless car washes yet? I used to do the foam cannon thing - no-rinse is so much easier, and the car comes out just as clean. I can do the Tundra in a lot less time now.

 

@gj953 Which rinseless washes you using? I have gotten a ton of ads, everything from waxed sop washes to rinseless.

yeah i quit caring about touchless or regular brush car washes years ago. right now my 14 runner hasnt been washed in the last 2-3 months during winter. the new tundra hasnt been washed since the 22-feb and its about 1/2 white from the belt line down. its going to get scratched either by car washes or just every day driving and parking.

our 18 tundra was exclusive to brush car washes, outside the minor dings, it didnt affect the trade in value after 5 yrs of car washes. so meh.

That video is about open air intakes and how it's about density not volume of air, and open intakes are going to get hot air. This is referring to the s&b Ford open air intake they made for some reason. The tundra S&B intake is a closed box so none of that applies. Still I doubt It will improve anything other then sound much as it is getting the air from the same spot as the stock just less restricted.

 

Well, at least it keeps the kids from sticking things in.

 

Besides cleaning the surfaces, do you recommend heating the contact surfaces with a heat gun etc. to activate the glue on the insert?

 

1st time pulling my 18 x 7.5 trailer with about 1K lb of load. Averaged 10.6 mpg during the 85-mile round trip.

Initially, I set the brake controller gain at 5, but felt the trailer was pushing the truck so I gradually increased gain and ended up at 6.

The truck gulps gas, but very comfortable going uphill.

I have yet to setup my andersen anti-sway bars.
