For work my go to is a Fenix PD35 and I carry a cheapo j5 tactical as a backup. In my truck I keep a 4D maglight in reach.

My EDC is a Streamlight 1L-1AA. My true tactical light for camping and while carrying is a Streamlight ProTac HL. I keep a Streamlight Twin-Task in my glovebox and a Twin-Task rechargeable on the dresser. My Surefire G2 has been "downgraded" to my work bag. Still have a few Mags floating around too.

I admit... it sounds like I may have a problem.

What's everyone's philosophy on rechargeable lighting?

I'm filing a warranty claim on a light I paid $90 for and have only used it for a total of 9 minutes.......
I'm not a math wiz but that sounds like $10 a minute to me

I have a Fenix PD35. Love that sucker. Been through many countries, submerged in water, diet, mud etc. Keeps on going, only issue is that my daughter chewed off the protective cap on the end.

    Some stuff
I have a couple of Fenix something-or-others. 2 giant D cell MagLites. A handful of small random ones that seem to have just appeared out of thin air. 2 Black Diamond Storm headlamps. One in the truck and the other in my ski pack.

I have a couple I use on a regular bases. I have two ASP lights that work well. The little 2xAAA penlight works great for EDC. I just clip it next to my knife in my pocket. At work I carry the ELZetta. It's a great light and very durable. I also use an ELZeta weapon light on my work rifle. I also have a couple of Surefire's that I have used in Iraq & Afghanistan that never let me down. Lights are like most tools there is no one size fits all.

I keep headlamps all over the place(several in my work van, in the wife's car, in the shop, around the house), and use them every day (I buy lots of AAA batteries ). For brighter light needs I use the Dewalt 20 volt that came with a tool kit.

You probably never need a flashlight with all the Vegas lights around

Ah…slight obsession with flashlights. Surefires mounted, Surefire and Streamlight handhelds in various locations around the house, and the trusty Fenix pd22 that is always in my pocket. All using 123s so I can settle on a single battery type.

Thanks for recommending these. I put 1 in the wives car and 1 in mine.

What 18650 batteries does everyone recommend?

I stick with game brands, Sony, Samsung, etc. Stay away from the cheap chinese one as they could blow up from being continuously used in a flash light. $.02
