The wife got me this for my birthday. She did good!!

 

I’m surprised - I’ve had very little pain. The worst was the incision in the bottom of my heel so he could drill up into my tibia.

 

So far, so good. I get the cast off on the 14th and they’ll do X-rays then to make sure everything is good. If so I’ll be in a boot and allowed to bear some weight on it. Around that time I’ll start physical therapy, and hopefully get back to work around Thanksgiving.

This has been a long ordeal. It started with an infection in my ankle last summer (and a bunch of other problems, including 9 days on a ventilator, but the ankle is the one thing that’s still keeping me out of work). I’ve been out of work one year today.

 

Bittersweet day. After 10 years of ownership and many mods later, I sold the Tundra and bought a Titan to replace it. It all came down to features and budget.

 

SDHQ traction bars, ordered Friday night, arrived today around lunch. Hopefully I can get around to installing them this weekend
