    Cool, let us know!

The thing is that the root cause of the wind noise is probably crappy seals around the door or window... And replacement seals may or may not yelp depending on the installer and seal quality that they replace with which seems random

My truck is at the dealer right now, hopefully getting the a pillar, door and window seals on the drivers side refreshed. My a pillar ones are deformed and the drivers window is loose and clicking- only mild wind noise at normal speeds. Our highway speed is 80mph so everyone drives 85+ and there is always windnoise

I want my dealer to replace the seals once again, but that'll require me showing to them the wind noise so they can confirm it and agree to do more work on improving it.

Which all is a colossal waste of my time...

Yup, I hate having to go back and forth bs. Total waste of time.
I have to have my wheels repaired and the dealer has to fix some scratches to my hood.

I like to enjoy my days off…

Getting a new window seal tomorrow, so have a sweet lime rush 4runner rental (barf) until then. The a pillar they are claiming is the same on the trucks on the lot....

THANK GOD!! Glad to hear the ‘23 I’m waiting for may already have these new seals. I made the huge mistake of buying the first year Gen3 Tacoma in 2016. Toyo never did fix them correctly and I’ve lived with the noise for almost 8 yrs now. *NEVER BUY THE FIRST YR MODEL/VERSION OF ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. I’m curious at what trim level and above those jam seals are included?

Seals not on SR and SR5 models but are installed on other models. You can purchase and install it on those models that don’t have the seals but it helps. I have installed them.

Lots of issue stem because of poor quality of seals all around the truck doors or poor installation techniques. For all trims - sr to platinum.

Not necessarily because this one rubber seal is missing on the sr trim. Doesn't hurt to install it though

Generally that is true but so far I have had some luck with my previous 2013 Rav4 LE and my curent 2020 Highlander Platinum. I probably would have bought the 2022 Tundra but with the supply chain issues and some dealers either charging mark ups or adding accessories I didn't want or need I delayed my purchase decision until early this year.

Useful thread. Wind noise gets abruptly louder at 100-120 km or so (62mph to 75mph). Had a long drive (4h) and overall found it to be OKAY... But Ideally would like less wind noise. Have tinnitus in my ears and getting rid of the sounds would be good. But, before fiddling with parts, should probably figure out if I have functioning parts or am just sensitive. Have the SR5, so sounds like from the discussion above I could get an additional part installed?

Had a friend who drives a 2016 F150, he said my truck is way quieter than his. So there's that.

Alternatively, have considered getting wind visors/deflectors installed too.

Have a '22 Platinum built 5/22, and it definitely seems to be noisy. I took some pictures from the driver door, do these seals seem really loose to you all?'PXL_20230711_151204045.MP.jpg PXL_20230711_151209593.jpg PXL_20230711_151223933.jpg

Finally took delivery of my new 2023 CMax Limited 4X TRDOR 5.5' last Fri 7/7 and happy to report no wind noise, door panel rattles, console rattles, or any interior noises at all!! Now I've only driven a couple hundred miles so we'll see after it settles in. Heard some mild rattles in the bed with the rear window open but after installing a BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover, all quiet now.
PS - And the leading edge door seals were there.

I read reports about wind noise problems on new Tundras before buying my 2023 1794. Before my test drive, I confirmed it does have the leading edge door seals. On my test drive, I listened intently for any abnormal noises. I'm happy to report it is dead quiet up to 80 mph.

Just one more reason I never buy a new model re-design the first year it comes out. It appears Toyota has addressed this, and several other bugs, that plagued the '22 Tundras.

Do you have pictures of your seals, so I can see if mine does? Any idea if Toyota would add/replace mine if it doesn't?

Sorry, I don't have pics, but it's the seals referenced in the video in post #476 above. Apparently a bunch of Tundras were delivered with them missing.

I've learned to never predict what a dealership will do on warranty matters. They all seem to beat to their own drums.

this is not accurate, the seals are only installed on limited and up, and if you actually read the thread, the wind noise is not only sr5 and below without these missing trims, the video was a shock and awe but quickly pointed out that even those with this trim installed still have wind noise, and the trim is model specific

it boils down to the cheap ass window seals that have 0 adhesive, you pull it back and it NEVER goes back to its og shape, continue reading the other posts where dealers get new seals and they get shipped smushed in a cardboard box and it never relaxes during install - so you get shit poor quality seals again,

i asked that one engineer to review why this window trim quality is so poor (compared to my 2014 and 2010 camry) he basically said this issue is a non issue for toyota right now, even though we have like dozen of reports from dealers trying to install/reinstall etc

Well, all I can tell you is the window seals on my new 1794 are perfectly fine and I have zero wind noise. It's by far the most quiet truck I've ever driven in.

I'm sorry for those who haven't been as lucky. Hopefully Toyota will make it right for you.

Maybe I'm just used to noise, or the A/T tires are too loud for me to notice, but my truck doesn't seem to have any wind noise.

It was built in June of this year, so maybe they have corrected the issue?

Road noise was noticeable but it got better after installing wind deflectors on the window.

Considering many ‘23 owners still report the issue I don’t think your assessment is fair. I think it’s just some people are more sensitive to it than others. Now don’t get me wrong, my 60k truck should be silent but many people just don’t care.

also, I think wind noise is a Toyota feature. My realtor has a 4Runner (not even close to first year of new gen) and it’s got wind noise out the ass. I also ride a ‘22 sienna carpool van to work everyday. All but the front passenger window have window noise out the ass. I’m beginning to think Toyota just doesn’t care about quality because people will buy off their name alone.
