There are definitely rattles that my '20 didn't have... I just thought this was the wind noise support group.

It's the exact same shit seals that DO NOT fit properly. I made my dealer change them out twice and the problem just gets worse. I'm at a breaking point...

Sounds like it could be the doors are not adjusted to the cab properly? How are the body lines both front to back and in and out? Just thinking out loud on what I would do to a restore job if it had wind noise.

Toyota corporate has a case number/case manager for me on the issue and swears they haven't heard of the problem until my complaint. I referred them to this forum and thread lol. I love the truck but if they dont have a solution in the next month or so, I'm moving on.

thats what makes it so frustrating, they haven't heard of it, ya right. Tell them to watch there new Commerical, you can see the window seal gap right in the Commerical, lol.

I just got a call from a dealer here and they have platinums coming in and wanted to know if I wanted one and I said Im going to wait it out a bit, too many problems going around right now. They said, they havent heard of any. IT was a polite conversation but I just said Im going to wait a little longer, they didnt have the color I wanted anyway

look at the rear window seal when they zoom in on the kid, huge gap.

THIS is exactly why I'm conflicted over even mentioning it to the dealer when I take the truck for service! I still think with time a solution will present itself. For now I guess I'll just try to be happy mine doesn't seem as bad as some others.

LOL holy shit there it is, the awful gap, nice catch. I'm going to be as persistent as possible and call like once a week because other than the wind noise, the truck is outstanding.

    LOL, this is funny.

I posted the pictures of the white truck earlier with the seals and door panel coming off.
I'm not super mad, but expect to have it fixed correctly in the near future.

Im not gonna get all pissed and throw my hands up
Other than that I like the truck

Has anyone tried installing wind deflectors on the windows to see if it helps the wind noise? I hate the look of them generally speaking but I'm curious if it would be a stop gap while we wait for better OEM seals to be developed hopefully. I saw a guy on youtube put them on his new Highlander and claims it helped with the similar wind noise issue they are having. I might be willing to try that route. I think the passenger side noise is going to drive my wife NUTS during summer road trip season.

I haven’t even found any in channel yet. The only ones I’ve seen are the stick on and those are terrible.

My search had the same results. The low profile ones from AVS are almost cheap enough to try but I'm hesitant since I've never liked the look of even the in channel ones. Mainly curious if the aero change would provide any temp relief from the ridiculous noise on the highway.

For what it's worth, this could be a workmanship/bad part issue. My late Feb build is quiet as a Cadillac...no wind noise at any speed. Bumpy ride though...

It has been hit and miss it seems, also fairly subjective. Some people say they hear it but just turn the radio up and it doesn't bother them. There is no question the seals fit poorly on mine. You can see it clearly. Exterior window seals are all over the place and not straight or tight to the window. Unfortunately it sounds like some have had them replaced by the dealer only to have it get worse. I imagine it is a subpar parts supplier used to get these trucks off the line and out to customers.

It may be a long shot, but I may try to carefully heat the seals up and see if I can "reshape" them a little bit to see if I can tighten them up. They may just be cheap enough material, from the looks of it, for this to work... I can't make mine any worse.

Did you have any success with heating the seals and reshaping them? I’m trying it this weekend.

Just a guess but would say no help. Installed them on my 4Runner and increased wind noise. Was not happy with the outcome.

Bottom line, we shouldn't have to install an aftermarket piece of plastic to stop wind noise in a new, fairly expensive vehicle... and they look crappy, so there's that.

My Tundra is a 12/11 build and picked up 1/11. Initially, ok fit and no wind noise. Now, they are losing shape and the edges are rolling up. I am starting to get wind noise on both sides as they continue to deform. They are on the 5K Punch list.

Same here, initially no wind noise, but recently dealing with the wind noise on drivers side. Trying to find a temporary fix on my own, allowing time for Toyota to develop a proper correction.

I have the same problem wind noise. Also the weather stripping makes noises, I feel the driver side door flexing making the weather strip squeak pillar \ area driver side. I have a 44 mile daily commute Love the truck but there is some quality control issues on these trucks. 2 TACOMAS, 1 4RUNNER no problems LEXUS GX460 a Tank no problems. The noise is the only thing right now with 7000 miles on mine.

Dang, I was hoping this was just and initial good or bad seals. Now it seems like over time the seals fail, yuck!

My 2022 SR5 makes a whistling noise when I’m driving. I always hear it. I deal with it by putting the volume up but I would love to have a permanent fix.

No official word from Toyota for my truck but dealer has ordered front seals passenger and driver as well as rear window seal to see if it helps. Will find out next week when parts arrive

They're "working on a fix". I call my case manager once a week to see wth is going on. In the meantime I'm taking my truck into the dealer 7 plus times until they fix the issue or I lemon it. I'm at that point. This is taking wayyyyyyyyy too long.

Absolutely, it's a factory defect that has not been addressed. I did it for a GMC 4 years ago for less. Continue driving around in a cab that sounds like hurricane forced winds are outside or find something else. Easy choice
